About Suchitra Cancer Care Foundation

In loving memory of Late Suchitra Gauri

Our Mission

To empower patients, caregivers, and communities with clear, responsible, and compassionate cancer information and guidance — especially for those in underserved and semi-urban areas of Eastern India.

Why we started SCCF

SCCF was created in memory of Suchitra — and in response to a reality too many families face: navigating cancer care can feel like learning a new language during an emergency.

Our founders have lived the caregiver journey closely, including losing loved ones to cancer. That experience left a simple conviction:

When fear is high, truth must be easy to access.

So SCCF focuses on:

  • Awareness and early understanding
  • Patient navigation support
  • Oncologist interviews through Onco Talks
  • Tools like Suchi, designed to help people ask better questions and find trustworthy resources

Stories we keep hearing

And why we built this.

"Is this symptom serious?"

A caregiver in Bihar, scrolling late at night

"What does staging mean?"

A patient holding back tears, trying to look brave for their children

"Where do we even begin?"

A family torn between ten different opinions

Most people aren't asking for miracles. They're asking for clarity. SCCF is built around that need: less confusion, more calm — with information you can trust.

Together, they bring lived experience, clinical expertise, and a shared commitment to calm, responsible cancer communication.
